A gathering of dhikr

We invite you to a gathering of dhikr in Massy, given to the remembrance of Allāh, the reading of the noble Qur'an and prayer upon the Prophet ﷺ with Imam al-Būṣīrī's Burda. Doors open at 7.30 pm.

أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ

Verily, in the remembrance of Allāh do hearts find rest.

The programme

After the ʿaṣr prayer

• Recitation of the noble Qur'an.
• Invocations: the Ḥizb al-Baḥr of Imam Abū'l-Ḥasan al-Shādhilī.
• A reading of the opening chapters of Imam al-Būṣīrī's Burda.

After maghrib

• Sūrat al-Wāqiʿa.
• Sūrat al-Mulk.
• The Burda completed.
• Mudhākara (a spiritual reminder).
• A reading of qaṣāʾid (poems).
• A meal will be served to those attending.
